OWOE - Amazing Energy - electric-aircraft
Lilium Jet
A company called Lilium Aviation is working on a two-passenger electric powered plane that can take off and land vertically. The plan is compact and can fit in a roughly 50 foot by 50 foot space, which is the size of a small garden. The plane is battery powered and is refueled by simply plugging a cord into an electrical socket. And the plan is fast - it can cruise at 180 miles per hour and travel up to 180 miles, which could take one from New York to Washington, D.C. in a little over an hour.

This plane isn't sturdy enough to inclement weather, and Lilium recommends clear skies and minimal air traffic for flight, much as for other forms of ultralight aircraft. To fly this plane all that is needed is 20 hours of training to get a Light Sport Aircraft license.

The company says it plans to roll out the plane by January 2018. In April 2017 the Lilium jet made its first successful test flight over Germany. See the article and watch the video at Lilium test flight.
